The Agrarian and Military Order of
Christ the King
The Order is, as an entity, apolitical, Christian and family oriented. Our rules about e-mailed comments, letters and guest posts require that they be civil, temperate, on-topic, and show decorum. All blog content must be suitable for reading by teenagers and contributions from those below the age of eighteen who are the sons or daughters of sworn Brothers or Sisters and in accordance with this guidance shall be permitted but do require parental approval and submission.

Contributions are moderated; that is, they must be pre-approved by the blog moderators. This means that there may be a delay between the submission and the eventual appearance of e-mailed comments, letters and guest posts. If any contribution is ‘moderated’ that means that it will simply be neither published nor acknowledged.

All unsolicited email is kept confidential unless the sender indicates otherwise. Threatening, malicious, obscene, insulting, or vituperative emails will be moderated as above and offenders will be blocked.

Civility                Name calling, insults, slurs, denigration of another’s intelligence, etc. are not permitted. The characteristics of unacceptable responses include, but are not limited to: hostility of tone, reliance on insinuation, the employment of heavy sarcasm, condescension, or hectoring. The determination of the presence of any of these traits in a comment is at the sole discretion of the moderators, as is the presence of logical fallacies.

Temperance     No exhortations to commit violence, foment insurrection, start a revolution, etc. are allowed. Also impermissible are expressions of approval over the suffering or death of individuals or groups.
Topicality Please stay on topic. If you wish to introduce a new topic or to submit an article for possible publication do so by e-mail, not in the comments sections. All quotations must be fully cited and verifiable as must re-posting requests for items previously published elsewhere.

Decorum            Limited short debate in the comments sections may occasionally take place if the moderators’ time permits, but it must be done without resorting to foul language or explicit descriptions. Asterisks are not an acceptable way of making bad language palatable. If you cannot make your point without using profanity, obscenity, or scatology, do not even attempt to post it here.

The most important thing to remember about the rules is this: The determination of whether any e-mailed comment, letter or guest post is in compliance with these rules is at the sole discretion of the Order and its moderators.

[Requiring blog contributions to obey well-defined rules does not infringe upon the free speech of contributors. For anyone to assert that we are “suppressing free speech” is a categorical error. The blog of the Order is a private forum; it is not, and never will be, a public space.]
